An approximately 250sqm south facing back garden of a Tudor Revival Style early 20th century house situated on the east Kent coastline. With the setting of the house overlooking the sea, we have incorporated species that are drought tolerant where possible, can withstand harsh winds and salty air whilst connecting with the surroundings. Borders wraps the lawn in soft organic wave like curves creating a lounge seating area with a corten steel fire pit on the left as this is where the sun hits in the afternoon and early evening. The fire pit is surrounded by a bespoke Adirondack chairs in minimalistic style, sitting on oak setts laid in a random pattern within the lawn. A play area in the opposite corner is surrounded by naturalistic meadow style planting on. Fragrant herbs are strategically placed within easy reach from the kitchen which is accessed through some French doors on the raised terrace. A pergola provides much needed shade and breaks the wind in the summer months. The expansive terrace also houses a selection of weathered terracotta pots and a custom bbq area. A working area has been framed with evergreen hedging and hidden from view from the rest of the garden with space for a shed and an outdoor shower.
